This is the one and only Betty Boop as a mermaid! This piece came about when Mr Vick and I decided to do a competition face off with our artworks. Him doing digital and having it projected on the screen for everyone I see. And myself doing traditional painting on top of my usual collaged/mixed media style. For being national dog month, we both decided I do a dog of some sort. I picked the most iconic dog I could think of, Betty boop. It was a fun night! And in the end Miss Betty Boop ended up winning by 1 vote! And now she is up for grabs if anyone is interested in having a painting of the most iconic dog to hang in their home.
